Abstract

In this article, the author examines the influence and inevitable transformations that the symbolic system of adolescents undergoes based on the bodily transformations of this period. In addition, the author explores the adolescent's relationship with his or her own body, or the mind-body connection (Bion, 1962) in the adolescent process.
