Abstract

The article examines modern human interaction with artificial intelligence (AI) through the prism of S. Freud's Oedipus complex. The author analyzes the contradictory feelings of admiration and fear that arise in people as AI becomes noticeably more integrated into everyday life. The article discusses fears of losing a job, the desire to identify with the ideal characteristics of AI, and possible ways to overcome such a psychodynamic conflict. Allusions to the Oedipus complex help to better understand the internal conflicts that arise when competing with a human-created mind that surpasses us in intellectual abilities.
