Abstract

This article is devoted to the psychoanalytic research of autism. The topic of autism causes passionate debate regarding to the causes relating to its pathology. The lack of consensus on this issue is seriously disorienting for parents, and the difficulty of calmly confronting hypotheses affect in understanding of childhood autism, its origins and therapy. The topic of autism has repeatedly appeared in psychoanalytic literature. Over the years, psychoanalysts have refined the nature of autism and how to detect it. Causes of autism are still not understood. This article explorersthe relationship between the development of autism and disorders in the mother-infant dyad. This article will be of interest to psychoanalysts and psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapists working with patients diagnosed with autism, as well as their mothers.
