Abstract

In the article, the author provides an introductory word to the psychoanalysis of artistic creativity – psychoanalytic criticism –, voices opinions in favor of the limitations of the method and provides its criticism, examines the issue of the development of psychoanalytic thought in the world and Russia from the beginning of the XX century to the present.
