Abstract
Mergers and acquisitions are an integral part of the modern business environment. And this market is growing, so total transactions volume reached three trillion dollars in 2021. In particular, the healthcare sector has demonstrated maximum activity in the mergers and acquisitions market over the past seven years. The pandemic and the geopolitical situation played a role in the overall picture of changes, as these environmental factors accelerated the transformation in the field of medicine: the level of digitalization, cooperation and collaboration between market participants increased. Global trends: population aging, growth of number diseases of blood circulation system, oncology, diabetes, growth in the number of various mental illnesses (for example, depression, dementia, etc.) form the directions for the sustainable development of the healthcare industry and create the basis for mergers and acquisitions in the medium and long term.
In this master's thesis, the mechanisms of mergers and acquisitions are considered and analyzed in detail from a psychoanalytic point of view. Psychoanalytic concepts allow us to look at the transaction mechanism as a living organism, which makes it possible to see the picture in the dynamics of "here and now", takes into account the rational and unconscious aspects of changes, deep impulses and context. The process of large-scale transformation within the company under study is also considered from the point of view of the dynamics of the group, the work of protective mechanisms and organizational behavior.
