Abstract

The article considers the containment ability as a basic function for a founder to withstand a high level of uncertainty, anxiety and fear and its importance for building a successful startup. The article also focuses on the importance of awareness of emotions in business and in making strategic decisions, particularly anxiety and fear, which can lead to dysfunctional leader behavior. The authors also identify several ways to create a containment atmosphere in startups and manifest the founder's containment behavior. The article is based on the concepts of Wilfred Bion and Melanie Klein.
