Abstract

In modern society, the problem of destructive unsatisfactory relationships, where one partner causes moral violence, and the other becomes a victim, is particularly acute. I use the theoretical analysis of psychoanalytic concepts and works related to destructive narcissism to collect and reflect a complete picture of narcissistic perversion and to recreate the portrait of narcissistic pervert. The focus of this work is on the investigation and description of the mechanisms that help pervert to influence his partner, as well as on the stages of narcissistic seduction, which leads to the damage of the victim's personality. This article identifies and describes the features of the early object relations of the narcissistic pervert and his partner with primary objects using the example of the artwork – series "Dirty John" since the anamnesis of childhood years is the key ingredient in the forming both narcissistic personality disorder and also victim behaviour. The paper investigate which relationships with primary objects make the subject prone to become a victim of narcissistic perversion, and also describes in detail the fears, traumas and needs of such a person, thanks to which the union with narcissistic perversion turns out to be complementary. From the point of view of practical significance, the materials and results of the research presented in this article will be useful for both psychoanalytic therapists working with patients who tend to remain in codependent destructive relationships, for victims of emotional and moral violence, and for people who seek to understand unsatisfactory relationships.
