Psychoanalytic view on the relationship between hysteria and narcissism

Abstract
A significant part of psychoanalytic research focuses on the consideration of hysteria and narcissism as separate personality disorders. However, carried out an analysis in this dissertation is showing that, starting from classical psychoanalytic views to modern ideas about these phenomena, it’s possible to identify the points of their intersection. Generalized psychoanalytic ideas about narcissism and hysteria, their origin and types. Special attention was paid to the French psychoanalytic school’s research, especially the chiasm’s concept of narcissism and hysteria by A. Green, where were revealed the key psychoanalytic parameters of these phenomena’s relationship. Traced the changes in the methodological transition from description of these disorders symptomatic manifestations analysis to the construction of models, theories and concepts in their understanding. This research was shown the structural, functional, genetic intersections and the possibilities of these disorders mutual "transformation", their connections with object relations, conflict, tendencies, bisexuality, etc. Theoretically was substantiated the existence of the connection between hysteria and narcissism, as well as the possibility of increasing the therapeutic effectiveness of psychoanalytic work with these personality disorders, it means personality with narcissistic hysterical manifestations and hysterics narcissistic characteristics.
