Abstract

For the first time, the article systematizes the main aspects of the Lacanian approach to the interpretation of dreams (the clinic of the signifier, desire, and psychoanalytic technique). The importance of conceptualizing the psyche as a structure containing registers of the Imaginary, Symbolic, and Real for interpreting the work of the patient's dreams is shown. It is shown that the dream should be considered as a dialectical thinking that takes into account the desire of the Other. The difference between the Freudian and Lacanian interpretation of dreams and the concept of unconscious desire is detailed. The method of textual analysis of dreams is described.
