Abstract
The article presents a psychoanalytic approach to coaching supervision. A brief history of the development of the theory and technique of supervision in clinical psychoanalysis is given. The goals and objectives of supervision in coaching are analyzed in detail, examples of coaching supervision are introduced. The importance of attention in coaching supervision is shown both to keeping the focus on the client's request and developing an action plan, as well as to the phenomena of transference, countertransference and resistance to change. The process of forming a professional coaching Self through supervision and the transition from a coaching Self to a supervisory-coaching Self is described.
