Abstract

The article examines the problems of narcissism using the example of the character Miranda Priestly, the main heroine of the film The Devil Wears Prada, and the interrelation between the structure of narcissistic personality disorder, early developmental deficits, and the influence of the professional media environment. Based on the synthesis of classical and modern psychoanalytic theories, an analysis of the clinical manifestations of narcissism and the exploitation of interpersonal relationships has been conducted. The article contributes to the interdisciplinary dialogue of psychoanalysis, film studies, and media research, proposing new approaches to studying narcissism as a culturally conditioned phenomenon
